I have been blessed to have many students through the 25+ years I have been teaching. The SMRT massage therapists listed on our find a therapist list come from around the country to take SMRT classes with Full Circle or have learned SMRT through video.  When a therapist becomes certified in Full Circle’s SMRT full body basic series, they must pass a written test and do a practical test on me or one of my staff. The therapists listed as full body certified we have had the honor of being worked on by and can personally attest to their expertise in Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique.  –Dawn Lewis

I had the honor of receiving a SMRT treatment from Sarah this weekend. She had just completed her last class in the SMRT Basic series. She quickly began her consultation with me to see what I would like worked on. For the previous month, I had been experiencing pain on the bottom of my right foot and into my ankle and lower leg. It was plantar fasciitis that was resulting from a lot of imbalance in my tarsal bones, ankle lower leg, and knee. She said to me, well, the lower extremities class was the first one I took, so it’s been several years since I’ve had the training. I knew this would not be a problem as I had been watching her work in class and it with clients for the last couple of years and she had really picked up not only the moves but the whole concept behind how SMRT works and was it is capable of achieving. She worked on my right leg for the entire hour, which is what I needed. With each move, I started to experience relief, movement, and all the tension easing. There were a few times that I made a suggestion to enhance the move, and she immediately understood and went right into the new actions and holds. She was working at not only a basic level but an advanced level of SMRT. At some point, I finally couldn’t hold on anymore and I just faded away into a deep sense of relaxation. When she was finished, I got up off the table and walked around the room. My pain was completely gone, my steps were smooth and with ease, and the whole way my body moved had changed. It’s the next day now and I’ve walked through two airports and feel amazing. What a relief for that tension, inflammation, and pain to be gone.
