    Pelvic Floor Scarring

I am on my way to Albany to teach SMRT: hips, lower back, and abdomen. As I think about this class, I am reminded of a therapist who took this class several years ago. She had a 3-year-old son. Since giving birth, and having tearing in her pelvic floor, she had only been able to urinate once a day.

She came to our SMRT class because she need CE’s and the SMRT work changed her life. For the first time since she had her son, she was able to void in a healthy way, she was able to regain intimacy in her relationship, and her systemic pain was alleviated.

    Peeing Straight

Then there was the PTA who told me about the damage she had during childbirth. It disrupted every area of her life. On the last day of class, she pulled me aside to tell me that her urine stream was straight instead of peeing left, she was “peeing straight.”. It was very exciting because it meant her muscles were working in a balanced way.

It makes me wonder how many women never speak about these issues. They just deal with the limitations and pain associated with pelvic floor scarring. We can help these women.

Join Kathy in Salt Lake City from October 12-14, 2018 to learn SMRT for the hips, lower back, and abdomen by registering now!
