LIVE WEBINAR - ASSESSMENT SHOULDER ROM HUMERAL FOCUS CLASS - 3/2/2023

Show/Hide Details
Mar 5,2023 -     Time: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm

March 2, 2023 Thursday 8 am – 12 pm MST - this class has been held and recorded - you can register through March 5th and receive the recording link, which is good until April 1st. Instructor: Dawn Lewis Description: This 4-hour live webinar will teach you how to assess shoulder mobility and range of motion through humeral mobility and range of motion. While we will focus on the proximal end of the humerus, where the humeral head meets the scapula to make the shoulder joint, it will also be necessary to explore the distal end of the humerus and how it interacts with the radius and ulna. As we explore humeral movement, we will be going over muscles and lines of fascia that may be affecting movement of the humerus and thereby effecting range of motion at the shoulder joint. What this class will NOT do is instruct you in specific ways to fix issues in the shoulder joint. This class will focus on assessment of the shoulder and specifically how the movement patterns in the humerus effect shoulder mobility. While the instructor will discuss which muscles and connective tissues need to be addressed with each pattern, instruction will not be given in specific techniques to work with each pattern. Instruction of course: This course will be taught through a live webinar. The structure of the course is as follows:

  • 1 hour and 25 minutes of instruction
  • 25 minutes of questions and answers
  • 20-minute break
  • 1 hour and 25 minutes of instruction
  • 25 minutes of questions and answers
Questions will be typed in during the instruction period. During question-and-answer periods, we will give answers to the most common questions until our time for questions and answers is expired. A recording of the class will be available for review for 7 to 10 days after the scheduled class date.
