April 20, 2023 Thursday 1 pm – 5 pm MST Instructor: Dawn Lewis Description: This 4-hour live webinar will teach you how to assess the relationship between the forearm and the hand at the wrist. To gain a full understanding of joints in the wrist joint complex, we will need to assess movement patterns in the radius, ulna, and carpals as they relate to the radius and ulna, as well as muscles and fascia effecting these bones and the joints of the wrist. Additionally, we will be exploring movement patterns in the carpals as they relate to each other, metacarpals, and phalanges. To gain a full understanding of the movement dysfunction in the hand and how it effects the forearm, upper arm, and shoulder, we will also go over muscles and fascia in the hand. What this class will NOT do is instruct you in specific ways to fix issues in the forearm, wrist, and hand. This class will focus on assessment of these structures and specifically how the movement patterns in the bones within the forearm and hand effect joint mobility. While the instructor will discuss which muscles and connective tissues need to be addressed with each pattern, instruction will not be given in specific techniques to work with each pattern. Instruction of course: This course will be taught through a live webinar. The structure of the course is as follows:
